The brand name ROSY LILY is actually the name of a lily flower called "Otome lily", which is native to Japan. That's the origin of our brand.

On top of our popular fragrance, we have added a new one as a new standard in October 2021.

Actually, there are two names for OTOMEYURI ("Otome lily"); “HIMESAYURI” is the other name. Both are referring to the same flower.

Then, in order to distinguish the two refreshing fragrances, we found it crucial to name the fragrance themselves. Hence, we have OTOMEYURI and HIMESAYURI as our new classics.

ROSY LILY makes shoe washing quick and easy. Yet, the question exactly how long the cleaning takes does not have a definite answer. It depends on the materials of the shoe, the persistence of the stains, whether you want to wash the whole shoe or just a part of it, and whether you are used to the cleaning procedures. As a reference, for a pair of shoes made of synthetic leather, easy stains can be quickly removed within 2 to 3 minutes.

Again, it depends on the material of the shoes, your cleaning method, the temperature, humidity, and many other factors. As a reference, synthetic leather products does not need a long time to air dry while some other products might need up to 6 hours.

We wish you could clean your shoes after a long day, they would then be ready for you the next day.

We believe that whether the shampoo is applicable on expensive shoes is, in fact, very critical for users. As you might know, however, it is the materials of the shoes matter, instead of the price and the brand.

Also, the cleaning procedures differ for its material. ROSY LILY works on almost all materials excepts shoes with labels clearly recommend no cleaning.

Of course! It works on shoes, laundry, and many other items. You might use it for shirt collars, socks, etc.

Sure! Bags, handbags, and wallets are often made from the same materials as shoes, so please refer to the washing instructions of those particular materials for details. Personally, I also use it to clean my carpet when I accidentally spill something over on it. In the case of bags and wallets, I think most of them are genuine leather products so it is advisable to apply a moisturizing cream for leather after a quick wash.

Detergent and bleach are made from different ingredients, ROSY LILY shoe shampoo is a detergent for cleaning, not bleaching. "Detergent" and "bleach" are fundamentally different, and detergent does not function to bleach.

"Detergent" is not used to whiten fabric. In other words,it is not possible to whiten yellowish shoes.It works to remove stains. On the other hand, "bleach" is a very strong chemical and it should be rinsed thoroughly with water after use.


In addition to changes in the color tone of the material itself, color change also happen when microscopic inorganic stain gets into the material. To put it simple, if fine stains such as sand get into the fabric, the material looks darker ( as inorganic stains). This is a type "irremovable" stain.

Another example is it's very difficult to remove cosmetic foundation when it gets on a shirt. Yet, although it looks dark in color, the stain can be removed when we wash the shirt, then it's clean. Detergent with optical brighteners is needed for this cleaning process.

Fluorescent whitening agents absorb ultraviolet rays and produce blue light. This is why they appear as white substances to human eyes even when they are actually discolored. However, this only works on a few materials, such as cotton, linen, rayon, and other materials with dark or pastel colors. ROSY LILY contains no optical brighteners for the above reason.


All in all, it is not possible to provide a detergent that will work universally for all materials for a variety of reasons.

The strength of ROSY LILY shoe shampoo is not its cleansing power,but the provision of an easy, quick, and simple shoe washing experience for users.Thus,you might want to opt for other products if you aim to remove "stubborn stains".Stains on children's shoes can be very stubborn. We recommend soaking them in a stronger chemical solution, such as "OXYCLEAN", with a bleaching effect.

This is another difficult question as it depends on the shoe materials, its size, and the persistence of the stain. Synthetic leather does not absorb water so it can be cleaned with just a very small amount. As for mesh and suede, since they absorb water easily, you might need to use a bit more for foaming. You may have a better idea when you actually check the amount of foam you have got and adjust the amount of shampoo.
